Step 1: Click on the Vault icon on the Global Navigation Bar or click on the link within the Update Password email (this will take you directly to step 4). 




Step 2: Resources that are nearing expiration will show the number of days left before they expire on the far right. Hover over the Resource that needs to be updated.




Step 3: Click on Edit Resource. 



Step 4: Update the Password Expiry period in days and the password value of the resource.




Step 5: When you type in the new password value for the resource, a pop-up window appears immediately below, displaying the recalculated expiry date of the resource. Click on the Confirm button to lock in the new password.



Note: If the user does not click on the Confirm button and instead clicks outside the pop-up window or on the Save button, the password value will not be updated. 



Step 6: Click on Save to complete the process.



Important: If the username value of a Resource is changed, the password value needs to be updated as well.

The expiration period of the Resource will reset once updated.



Tip: Reminder emails will be sent to all contacts with access to the Vault, therefore, ensure a plan within your organization of who will update the Resources upon receiving the notifications. This will help avoid duplicative password updates.
